Statement of Faith
Article I: The Holy Bible
We Believe that the Holy Bible is comprised of 66 books, commonly known as the Old and New Testaments, and that they are the inspired Words of God written by men as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Article II: Man, His Fall and Redemption
We believer that man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God. Through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was made manifest to undo the works of the Devil. He gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man to God. (Romans 3:9-10; 5:12 Galatians 3:13-14; I John 3:8). We believer SALVATION is the gift of God to man and is separate from works and the law. Salvation is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Ephesians 2:8).
Article III: Repentance
We believe that repentance is a sincere change of mind, involving a sense of personal guilt of sin and turning away from sin, and that the penitent heart is graciously helped by the Spirit of God (Acts 2:38).
Articles IV: Baptism
We believe that baptism is commanded by out lord and that it belongs to the believer of the gospel, infants who cannot believe, and that the Bible’s ways of administering it is by immersion (Matthew 3:16; 28:19-20; Mark 16:14- 16; Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Acts 8:38-39).
Article V: The Lord’s Supper
We Believer that the Lord’s Supper is a New Testament ordinance, that it was instituted when our Lord celebrated His Last Passover with His disciples, that it consists of bread and the fruit of the vine, and that as often as we take it we show forth the Lord’s death until He comes again (Matthew 26:26-29; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:23-24; Isaiah 62:8-9).
Article VI: The Second Coming
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to judge the quick and the dead and that we who are alive at His coming shall not precede them that are asleep in Christ Jesus (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:3; Acts 1:10-11, 17:31; II Timothy 4:1).
Article VII: Spiritual Gifts
We Believe that Spiritual Gifts are se forth in the 12th 13th and 14th chapters of I Corinthians:
No one gift is the specific (sign) or evidence of the Holy Spirit’s presence, but faith (Hebrews 11:1) and love (I Corinthians 13) are the evidence. Not even power alone is the evidence for that may be of Satan (I John 4:1-3). These gifts, though they may be of use to edification, may be counterfeited and are not to be trusted as evidence (II Thessalonians 2:7-12; I John 4:1-3). We believe the “speaking in tongues” is a gift from God; however, is should be exercised in accordance with the guidelines in I Corinthians 14. In the early church, it was manifested as a sign that one had received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Article VIII: Divine Healing
We do not condemn physicians and medicines because the Bible does not (Proverbs 17:22; Mark 16:18; James 5:14; Acts 3:1-6). We believer and teach Divine Healing according to the scriptures. We believe it is a gift set in the church, and that the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up (James 5:14-16; I Corinthians 12:19).
Article IX: Ministry Duty
It shall be the duty of United Faith Christian Fellowship, Inc. to seek the fellowship of churches and ministries who are sound in the faith and doctrine of Christ, the conversion of sinners the sanctification of believers and the preaching and teaching of the Gospel to every creature (Ephesians 4:11-13).
Article X: Women in Ministry
Those women among us who show evidence of their gift(s) and anointing of God to teach, shall have the privilege to teach and conduct religious services in the church and ministry under the direction and leadership of the Senior Pastor (Romans 16:1-2; Titus 2:3-5; I Timothy 2:11-15; I Corinthians 14:33-40).
